Our History
Founded in 1998, the Gender Studies Graduate Seminar held in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid every year is one of the pioneer programs in the promotion of young scholars. It encourages undergraduate, graduate and PhD researchers in participating in a national academic event to explore their topics of interest regarding Gender and Feminist Studies in the Anlgo-American Literary sphere. Thanks to its structure and content, it serves young scholars as a magnificent opportunity to develop skills which will become handy in their posterior academic life and research.
The seminar is almost always organised during a specific day in November, sometimes two if the number of proposals require it. The event gives prevalence to undergraduate, graduate and PhD students' interventions which are accompanied with one or more plenary lectures in which tenured professors contribute with their proposals.
